Clinic Coordinator
Gemma Woods found Maia Mothers the way many women do: as a client, freshly postpartum and looking for somewhere that felt calm and safe. What she found was a space that genuinely felt that way, and the experience stayed with her. When the opportunity came to be part of the team, it felt less like a career move and more like coming home.
Becoming a mother to her son Dalton cracked her open in the way that motherhood tends to do. It deepened her understanding of what women need during the perinatal period, not just practically, but emotionally, and it gave her a personal investment in making sure every woman who walks through the Maia Mothers door feels the same warmth and ease that she did.
Gemma brings a decade of experience in early childhood education and centre leadership, including roles as Educational Leader and Assistant Director at an early childhood centre. Behind that experience is a genuine skill set in administration and creating environments where people feel welcomed and cared for from the very first interaction. She is currently completing her Bachelor of Education at QUT.
In practice, Gemma is the person who makes sure everything runs smoothly so that practitioners can focus on their clients and clients can focus on themselves. She is warm, organised and genuinely invested in every woman who comes through the clinic having a supported, seamless experience.
Behind every well-run clinic is someone like Gemma. We are very lucky she is ours.
